Mechanic – Full Time position covering Edinburgh and Falkirk Centres

We are currently looking for a Full-Time Mechanic with a passion for karting / motorsports to join our team and maintain our fleet of EVO 5/6 karts at our Falkirk and Edinburgh centres.

This role will require working at both our Newbridge and Falkirk centres so travel flexibility and a driving licence is required (role will involve use at times of company vehicle).

Position : Full Time Mechanic
Salary band: PT £9.50ph + dependent on experience plus performance bonus scheme

Responsibilities include:

Overall responsibility for maintenance on both Edinburgh and Falkirk kart fleets (over 70 karts in total). Ensuring safety checks, routine servicing,  repairs, pro-active checks to minimise breakdowns and consistency of fleet, management and ordering of spares, management of work shop and mucking in and helping with anything else required!!

All to ensure a fun, 5 star experience for our customers!

Key skills: Strong mechanical skills, knowledge of 4 stroke honda engines preferred although training will be available, ability to work under pressure and using own initiative, welding experience, outgoing personality, excellent customer service / communication / teamworking skills, PC skills.

The role is based on working approx. 35-37.5 hrs / week. Flexibility towards working hours is required, typically our existing mechanic works a Mon/Thurs at one centre, and a Tues / Fri at another and juggles this to suit workload as required, and will work one day at a weekend (to suit requirements / as required). This role will require a driving licence to cover aspects of the role (eg helps at times using company vehicles with fuel collection, parts drop off / collection etc) .
