Frequent Karting Q&A
- How old do participants have to be: Drivers must meet the age restrictions for the appropriate sessions (if they look younger please bring ID). You don’t need a driving licence, although you should be physically fit enough to obtain one, just a passion for fun!
- I have possible concerns over medical issues: If there are any obvious medical or health issues that could prevent anyone from karting (eg pregnant, back injury etc) then we would recommend seeking medical advice. Please refer to the medical guidance on our waiver form
- What participants wear: Normal casual clothing, no scarfs (long hair will need to be tucked in), normal trainers (no open toed shoes or heels)
- Are there any body size restrictions? If you have any concerns about height, weight, or body shape, we recommend visiting us to check comfort in a kart before booking. As a guide, drivers over 18 stone may wish to try this first, but fit can vary depending on body shape. Our team will be happy to help you find the best option.
- What if some participants don’t want to race? No problem — we will shortly be able to offer a VR Experience alongside the karting, giving non-drivers a fun and inclusive activity. They are welcome to spectate and cheer on the winners.
- What if someone pulls out: Please refer to our Booking T+C – We will provide a refund as long as we have a minimum of 24 hours notice before the booking. Please call to advise us of any cancellation asap, if the centre is closed please email us at info@xtremekarting.co.uk to advise (the email timestamp will be used)
- Do I need a hygiene pack: All drivers must wear a hygiene pack if using our helmets, available for £3pp online or £4pp in centre. If you already have one, please bring it and reuse it.
- Can I reserve a date and time for an event: Race experience sessions must be booked online and paid in full when booking, sorry but we do not take reservations for these sessions.
- Can I bring my own helmet: Yes – as long as helmets are full face with a visor and meet UK motorcycle helmet standards. We do not allow any recording devices on track (eg go-pros) or helmets fitted with any form of mounts to comply with our risk assessment / insurance policy.
- Can I bring my own food and drink: Sorry we do not allow any food or drink to be brought into the centre
- Are spectators allowed: Spectators are welcomed (max 4 per group) and we have a reception lounge area with hot / cold drinks and snacks available (Free wifi!)
