Booking an Event Q&A
- How old do participants have to be: Drivers must be at least 16 years old (if they look younger please bring ID).
- What is the difference between GP and Ultimate GP: GP events include 7 min Practice, 7 min Qualifying and a 10 min Final. Ultimate GP upgrades this to 8 min Practice, 10 min Qualifying and a 12 min Final for more track time and a bigger event feel.
- I have possible concerns over medical issues: If there are any obvious medical or health issues that could prevent anyone from karting (eg pregnant, back injury etc) then we would recommend seeking medical advice. Please refer to the medical guidance on our waiver form.
- What participants wear: Normal casual clothing, no scarves (long hair will need to be tucked in), normal trainers (no open-toed shoes or heels).
- Are there any body size restrictions? If you have any concerns about height, weight, or body shape, we recommend visiting us to check comfort in a kart before booking. As a guide, drivers over 18 stone may wish to try this first, but fit can vary depending on body shape. Our team will be happy to help you find the best option.
- What if some participants don’t want to race? No problem — our upcoming VR Gaming experience will give non-racers a fun and inclusive activity while others are on track. They are also welcome to spectate and cheer on the winners.
- What if someone pulls out of an exclusive event: We will provide a refund as long as we have a minimum of 24 hours notice before the booking, as long as the minimum driver requirement is still met.
- Do I need a hygiene pack: All drivers must wear a hygiene pack if using our helmets, available for £4pp online or £5pp in centre. If you already have one, please bring it and reuse it.
- Can I reserve a date and time for an event: You can reserve your spaces online with a refundable £100 deposit.
- When do I need to pay the balance: The full balance must be paid within 7 days of booking. Events within 14 days must be paid in full at the time of booking.
- Can I bring my own food and drink: Sorry, we do not allow any food or drink to be brought into the centre.
- Are spectators allowed: Spectators are welcome (max 4 per group) and we have a reception lounge area with hot / cold drinks and snacks available, plus free Wi-Fi.
