Terms & Conditions – Xtreme Karting
By making a booking with Xtreme Karting, the person making the booking agrees to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of themselves and all participants included in the booking.
1. Making a Booking
- All sessions and events must be pre-booked online unless otherwise agreed with Xtreme Karting.
- After booking, please check your confirmation email carefully to ensure the date, time, location, session type and participant requirements are correct.
- The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring all participants are aware of the relevant booking conditions, age and height requirements and venue rules.
2. Age, Height & Participation Requirements
- Drivers must meet the age, height and any applicable weight or fit requirements for their chosen session.
- Minimum junior height: Edinburgh 1.5m / Falkirk 1.25m.
- Applicable age restrictions are shown when booking and are strictly enforced. Valid ID may be required.
- If you are unsure about height, weight, fit or suitability, we recommend visiting the centre before booking.
- Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18+ at all times while in the centre.
- Where a participant does not meet the stated participation requirements, they will not be permitted to take part and no refund or credit will be issued.
3. Before You Arrive
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your session start time.
- Late arrivals may miss the safety briefing or part/all of their session. We cannot delay sessions for late arrivals and no refund or credit will be issued for missed or reduced activity time.
- Please dress appropriately for your activity.
- For karting, suitable flat, closed-toe footwear such as trainers must be worn.
- Open-toe shoes, sandals and heels are not permitted.
- Long hair must be securely tied back.
- All drivers must attend the mandatory safety briefing before participating.
- Karting may not be suitable for people with certain medical conditions. Participants should seek appropriate medical advice before participating if unsure of their suitability.
4. Safety, Helmets & Personal Equipment
- All participants must follow safety briefings, venue rules and instructions given by Xtreme Karting staff and track marshals.
- Personal helmets and other equipment may only be used where considered suitable and approved by Xtreme Karting staff.
- The suitability of customer-owned helmets or other personal equipment is at the discretion of Xtreme Karting staff.
- Xtreme Karting may refuse or stop participation where reasonably required for safety or where a participant fails to comply with safety instructions, venue rules or equipment requirements.
- Where participation is refused or stopped because a customer does not meet participation requirements or fails to comply with these rules, no refund or credit will be issued.
5. Cameras & Recording Devices
- Recording devices are not permitted on track or while driving a kart.
- This includes smart glasses and camera-equipped eyewear, GoPros and action cameras, body-worn cameras, mobile phones and other recording-capable devices.
- This restriction applies regardless of whether the recording function is switched off or disabled.
- Cameras, recording devices and camera mounts must not be attached to karting helmets. Customer-owned helmets fitted with camera mounts, mounting plates or other modifications may be refused.
- Customers and spectators are welcome to take photographs and videos within Xtreme Karting public areas, but please be mindful of the privacy of other customers and staff.
- Recording must not interfere with the safe operation of the venue or the reasonable enjoyment of others and must stop if requested by Xtreme Karting staff.
6. Customer Conduct & Venue Rules
- Threatening, violent, abusive, unsafe or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
- Customers may be required to leave the premises where they threaten, abuse or intimidate customers or staff; use inappropriate or abusive language; deliberately cause damage; cause unreasonable annoyance or disruption; behave unsafely; or refuse to follow reasonable staff instructions.
- Serious or repeated incidents may result in the individual being banned from Xtreme Karting.
- Anyone required to leave or prevented from participating as a result of their behaviour or failure to follow venue rules will not receive a refund or credit.
- Alcohol or drugs must not be consumed before or during participation in our activities. Anyone suspected of being under the influence will not be permitted to participate.
7. Banned & Excluded Customers
- Anyone who has previously been banned or excluded from Xtreme Karting must not make a booking, participate in an event or activity, or enter any Xtreme Karting premises, including our car parks.
- This also applies where another person makes a booking on their behalf or includes them as a participant within a group booking.
- Any booking made by, for, or including a banned individual may be cancelled, or the banned individual may be refused entry or participation.
- No refund or credit will be issued in respect of the banned individual’s booking or participation.
8. Payments & BACS
- Bookings must be paid online unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance with Xtreme Karting.
- In-centre payments are card only.
- Where an invoice is required, please contact Xtreme Karting before booking. At our discretion, arrangements may be made for payment by BACS bank transfer.
- For event bookings, where applicable, full payment must be received within 7 days of making the booking. Where the event takes place within 14 days of the booking date, full payment must be made at the time of booking.
- We reserve the right to cancel or amend bookings where agreed payment terms have not been met.
9. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- More than 24 hours’ notice: full refund or credit available.
- 6–24 hours’ notice: credit only.
- Less than 6 hours’ notice: no refund, credit or rescheduling.
- If the centre is closed, please email info@xtremekarting.co.uk. The email timestamp will be used to determine the applicable cancellation period.
- These cancellation and rescheduling terms are strictly enforced.
10. Karting Rules
- Drivers must meet the applicable age and height requirements.
- Drivers must attend the mandatory safety briefing.
- Appropriate clothing and footwear must be worn.
- Only helmets and personal equipment approved by Xtreme Karting may be used.
- Drivers must follow all track rules, flags, signals and instructions.
- Drivers must follow instructions given by track marshals and other Xtreme Karting staff.
- Xtreme Karting staff have final responsibility for deciding whether a participant, helmet or item of personal equipment can safely be permitted on track.
11. Combat Rules
- Minimum ages apply: Combat 6+ / Tactical 14+.
- Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult on site.
- Combat activities take place outdoors. Appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for the conditions must be worn.
- A safety briefing is mandatory for all participants.
- Unsafe behaviour, failure to follow safety instructions or ignoring instructions from Xtreme Karting staff may result in participation being stopped without refund.
12. Spectators & Animals
- Spectators are welcome, although numbers may be limited during busy periods. As a general guide, a maximum of two spectators per group may apply.
- Dogs and other animals are not permitted inside Xtreme Karting venues.
13. Food & Catering
- Outside food and drink are not permitted for karting events.
- For Combat events, customers may bring food where a party cabin has been booked and the applicable package permits this.
14. Personal Belongings & Lost Property
- Customers are responsible for their own personal belongings while visiting Xtreme Karting.
- Please keep valuables secure and do not leave phones, wallets, jewellery or other valuable items unattended.
- Any items found at the venue should be handed to a member of staff.
- Xtreme Karting will take reasonable care of items handed in as lost property but cannot guarantee that lost or unattended items will be recovered.
- Customers should contact the relevant centre as soon as possible if they believe they have left an item behind.
- Unclaimed lost property may be disposed of after a reasonable period.
15. Gift Vouchers
- Xtreme Karting e-vouchers are available to purchase online.
- Purchased e-vouchers are non-refundable and valid for 24 months from the date of issue.
- Vouchers can be used towards eligible Xtreme Karting activities, subject to any terms or restrictions applicable to the voucher.
- Xtreme Karting is not responsible for lost, stolen or misused voucher codes.
16. Acceptance of Venue Rules
- By booking, entering an Xtreme Karting venue or participating in an activity, customers agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions, applicable activity rules, safety briefings and reasonable instructions given by Xtreme Karting staff.
- Safety decisions made by Xtreme Karting staff regarding participation, personal equipment, helmets and equipment permitted on track must be followed.
- Failure to comply may result in participation being refused or stopped and/or the individual being required to leave the premises.
- Where this results from a customer’s failure to meet participation requirements or comply with these Terms & Conditions, venue rules or staff instructions, no refund or credit will be issued.
