Terms and Conditions of bookings made with Xtreme Karting / Combat and Game Over Escape Rooms (valid from 1/8/20)
Before you arrive:
- At present all participants must be pre-booked, either through our online booking system or as a participant in a private event.
- Event start times are clearly stated on the booking confirmation, please be aware if you are late then you may miss out on participating in your event or the event duration may be cut, there is no refund or discount available in this case.
- Please carefully check the event type, format and any age limits applicable. Age limits will be strictly enforced, if the participant looks younger please bring a suitable form of photographic id eg passport. Please note that we will not refund if the participant does not meet the age criteria.
- Although our karts/suits and helmets can accommodate different heights and builds, we would always recommend anyone concerned whether they will fit to come along before any event and check fitment. For junior karts the minimum height is normally 4ft 2in. We would normally recommend anyone over 18 stone checks the kart fitment, as often the body shape or leg length can be the limiting factor.
- All participants under the age of 16 must have a responsible adult over 18 years old with them at all times.
- Please dress appropriately for your event: Karting – comfortable clothes, trainers (no open toed shoes) and tie long hair back. Combat – dress according to the Scottish weather and it’s variability! Game over – wear comfortable clothing/shoes
- Participants who wish to use their own helmets / gloves and race suit may do so. Helmets must be full face / visor with the relevent ISO safety stamp and no visible damage. Race suits and gloves must be suitable (not fancy dress etc) and in good condition.
- Spectators – limited spectators are allowed at present (max 2 per group)
Payments:
- All payments should be made by card for purchases made in centre (all bookings must be completed online), we do not accept cheques.
- Xtreme Karting may cancel the event without your consent if any payments are not received by the respective due dates, and we reserve the right to amend any of the events without your prior consent.
Cancellation / Rescheduling Policy:
Our T+C’s are very flexible regarding cancellations on pre-booked events or sessions:
- If an event is cancelled the following terms will apply:
More than 24 hours notice then the customer will have the option of either a full refund or the payment held as a credit towards a future event.
More than 6 hours but less than 24 hours notice then the payment will be held as a credit towards a future event.
Less than 6 hours notice then no refund or rescheduling will be available - Please note that we are extremely strict with this policy and no exceptions will be made. If you cannot contact us by telephone please email.
Karting / Combat – General rules for participants:
For the enjoyment and safety of all participants, you are advised of the following guidance issued to all. If you have any doubts about the following, please contact us directly for further information.
The Manager may refuse permission for any individual to participate, or stop from participating, on the grounds of safety to others and/or themselves without refund of any money paid.
If any participant is threatening, violent, causes damage or annoyance (eg verbally abusive, inappropriate language etc) to other customers or staff then they will be asked to leave the premises and banned from Xtreme Karting.
Karting Specific Guidance:
- Drivers age limits are clearly indicated on the booking pages and information pages on our website and these will be strictly enforced.
- The physical design and size of karts operated by Xtreme Karting may be a limiting factor for certain drivers. Generally, drivers should be taller than 5’ but not exceed 6’-5” in height and / or 18 stone in weight. Drivers outside of the height and/or weight restrictions detailed above may not be permitted to drive and no refunds will be given. Any persons concerned by these limits, or by their ability to control the karts, are welcome to visit the centre before booking and check they can control the kart safely.
- Junior Drivers must be at least 4 ft 2in tall, and able to operate the pedals satisfactorily. If your child looks younger please bring id (eg passport / birth certificate). Junior drivers or Senior Drivers under 16 years of age must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult over 18 years old.
- Drivers must wear flat-soled shoes (eg training shoes). High heels, sandals, open toed shoes, platform soles and work boots are not permitted.
- All drivers must attend a safety briefing, safety briefings are valid for 3 months for future visits, after 3 months they must reattend the briefing to renew the validity.
- Late arrivals may not be permitted to drive and no refund will be issued.
- Karting is not suitable for anyone with heart or breathing difficulties, back or neck problems, pregnant women or people with a nervous disposition/epilepsy or mental health concerns. We would always recommend you seek medical advice if you have any concerns.
- Alcohol or drugs must not, under any circumstances, be consumed before or during the event. Persons suspected to be under the influence of drink or drugs will not be permitted to drive and no refund issued/liability for expenses.
- Any persons by way of unreasonable conduct either on or off the track can be asked to leave the premises without refund of any monies paid.
Combat specific guidance:
- Players must be a minimum of 6 years of age to participate in Combat Missions (ages 6+), or ages 14+ for Tactical Missions. If your child looks younger please bring id (eg passport / birth certificate).
- Players under the age of 16 MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult over 18 years old who must remain on site. Ages ranges may be split at Xtreme Combat discretion to ensure safety for all participants.
- Players who have concerns about physical abilities when playing are welcome to visit the Arena before booking.
- Players are advised to wear flat-soled shoes (eg training shoes)and to dress appropriately for the variability of the Scottish weather.
- All Players must attend the safety briefing. Late arrivals may not be permitted to play and no refund will be issued.
- Combat is not suitable for anyone with heart or breathing difficulties, back or neck problems, pregnant women or people with a nervous disposition/epilepsy or mental health concerns. We would always recommend you seek medical advice if you have any concerns.

- Any persons who display aggression, or unsuitable language to staff or other players, who do not listen to the marshal instruction or abide by the game rules will be asked to leave the premises without refund of any monies paid.
Catering :
- For Food Hygiene / Health and Safety reasons it is not permitted for clients to bring their own food or drink into the premises.
Gift Vouchers Terms and Conditions of Use
- E-vouchers are available to purchase online through our website, and can be redeemed either for practice sessions or pre-booked events.
- E-Vouchers can be redeemed against either Xtreme Karting or Xtreme Combat activities (not valid for Game Over Escape Rooms)
- Xtreme Karting do not accept Liability for Lost or Stolen Vouchers.
- All Vouchers are valid for 24 months from the Date of Issue.
